Rocky Shoals is one of the partnering ensembles with Montana Cappella of Voices & Instruments. The group focuses on Sea Chanties, as well as emphasizing historically informed performance of a wide range of music including Early American Music songs from the folk tradition chosen appropriately for the ensemble.
Chantyman, Will Abbot, both a sailor and historian,
is versed in the music and lore of the sea,
and is an excellent leader and teacher.
Motto: Dia go maith, ach ní rince i mbád beag.
Gaelic for "God is good, but never dance in a small boat."
Admittance to the ensemble is through the permission of Chantyman, Will Abbot.
