The
CONRAD MUSIC FESTIVAL
provides an opportunity for
singers, instrumentalists, & dancers
to enjoy and participate
in a variety of performing arts,
in the community of Conrad, Montana.
This late-winter festival brings together performers
and ensembles from both Conrad and Missoula.
FESTIVAL REGISTRATION
and WELCOMING DINNER
will start at 6:00 pm, Friday, March 28.
A FESTIVAL KICK OFF HOOTENANNY
will follow at 7:00 pm and
will highlight the folk trio,
Steamboat Missoula.
Throughout the day,
Saturday, March 29,
workshops, performances,
and a contradance will
provide opportunities
for both the audience and performers
to socialize and participate together.
The afternoon FESTIVAL CONCERT will feature
the early music ensemble, Montana Cappella;
the instrumental ensemble, Lyric Trio; and the
Festival Chorus, made up of Conrad, Missoula,
and festival singers, including members of
Conrad's ecumenical choir the A.N.G.E.L.S.
The afternoon concert will also include
compositions and arrangements by Montana
composers, Stephen Adoff and Douglas Macaulay,
and premiere performances of three works
arranged specifically for this festival.
The Festival will conclude Saturday evening,
with a BBQ COUNTRY RIB DINNER, shared music,
and a CONTRADANCE led by Skippin' a Groove.
Conrad is a friendly town on the edge of the plains,
with a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountain Front.
It is located about 60 miles north of Great Falls
on Interstate 15. Motels and restaurants are available.
